wheres the perks to reduce the fatigue?!?! wheres the rigs or the implants or the boosts.. ooh boosts...
QUAFE BOOST: effects: -50% fatigue time, also provides ship with large group of exotic dancers since you will have plenty of fap fap to do during your down time. |

Does this make it too difficult for new pilots to get out into 0.0? Yes, it probably does. We are going to look at this tomorrow to try and make this easier.
Is the balance for Black Ops final? No. Please give feedback!
The math about the minimum jump timer is inconsistent in the blog, right? Yes, it is, I'll fix it as soon as I have time, thread's moving too fast atm!
Very large fatigue values will take a loooong time to decay, is this too much? Possibly yes, we'll have a look at this. @ CCP Greyscale You do realise that most people playing this game are adults with real jobs and life, who play this game for fun. Most people have no ambition / patience / intention to wait 3 days moving a capital ship a few dozen LY. Yes go ahead and take the fun away by creating yet another time sink. If you are intending to limit power projection, limit amount of ships that can be bridged / jumped / maximum mass allowed to enter into a system / day or something like that, not jump fatique which is such a terrible idea I cannot even describe.
i like the mass limit idea.. its like the wormhole updates.. only.. not.. but still i do like it =) |

maybe its time for a new event..
im not CODE.. nor a supporter.. but they seem to be on the right track about how to ruin the game in a sense.. what if all of high sec dove inward to empire and starting just blowing EVERYTHING up.. dont be as picky as the code.. i mean EVERYTHING.. that your POS? war dec and dead.. that your ice mining crew.. dead.. that your level 4 burner mission? we just stole your bounty.. oh you wanted to do incursions sorry we kill you too..
give up what you "love" by self destructing it and ruin other peoples sand castles and then leave the game chances are some of the victims will even leave knowing they are victims of a dev note blog thats gone super viral. at 3000+ comments.
if you want to make this game die.. a dev blog like this only ruins the fun for null sec.. take away the high sec kids toys too... come null sec alliances.. come show high sec how fun it is to destroy stuff en mass and show CCP that you dont need dreads/titans/carriers/JF's to destroy the stuff people worked on saving up for.
dont forget.. after you ruined everything they own and have nothing yourself left to lose to unsub so CCP is the final victim in this game. |

how things look if they had a different approach to this....
your car.. ooh.. you just drove 5KM.. you gotta wait.. your car is tired..
NEW TAMAGUCHI.. the nidhogger.. your pet just jumped.. its tired and wants to take a nap now..
SIMS 4: EVE ONLINE ~ your character is fat, lazy, stupid and doesnt like to jump.. so your job is to sit around and wait for something to happen!
EVE ONLINE the facebook game: if you get 100000 friends to join this game we will give you 1 jump for free!!
eve online the pyramid scheme: get 100 friends to join the game.. we will give you a cool drink cuzi to hold your beer while you get drunk and wait for the next jump
eve online the social life game: what you doing man? nm.. just jumped.. u know.... waiting..... did u go afk again..? jumping is so boring.... i think im gonna go station spin.. bet i can get that counter to 400000000000000000 before the cool down resets
EVE ONLINE: Because CCP goes to bars while they "work" so why shouldnt you go to bars.. while you subscribe to their game.. and wait for your jump timer... seriously.. go to a bar your fatigue gauge says you cant jump again for 4 months and 13 days.. |

Big thanks to the whole CSM for their help with this process so far and the good work I know they'll continue to do as we consult with them going forward.
idk about you guys.. but reading this.. knowing that the CSM is 100% on the ball with this happening.. tells me its time for anarchy.. as you americans say its time to IMPEACH the crew.
on a side note.. anyone offended by this dev blog should also find these CSM members and hunt them down like the predator movies and kill them and then take their skull/spine out in a single pull.. and then do it again..
call it ALLIANCES vs PREDATORS: no matter who wins.. CCP loses!
i can see it now.. rob Schneider will play as CCP fonzie because they have the same forehead area. and cuz they both wanna be a stapler.. south park joke |

so.... have you seen these cool tech 2 ships?.. they transport thousands of m3 cargo.. assembled ships you say... do you have an alt.. make a contract item courier and put the package in your ship.. BOOOOOOM keyboard drop. |

my group bases out of a high sec island surrounded by lowsec and we arnt near a trade hub.. we do just fine using t2 indys to run our cargo around.. it has me nerv racked going through systems with a dozen guys that are confirmed wanting to kill us.. but we manage..
i kinda like this new patch.. if you want to feel the real value of your cargo hold.. fly it around in space.. like the guys with plex in their cargo hold did.. 20$-1800$ thrown away while flying around with their cargo.
now dont get me wrong.. we use a rorqual and we dont mine local cuz every1 knows you dont $#!T where you eat unless you a bear. and this change WILL make our ninja mining ops a little more of a hassel.. anyone who catches wind of where we currently mine will know that a rorqual comes and goes and now that means we need to setup a base to hide inside and we gotta bring water to the slaves who row the oars of the jump drive..
but i digress.. in the end a change is coming and we must adapt or see what we built die off. and by death i mean either we fall back and change the plan.. or we fall outta eve and check out that new game S.C... u know |

Endo Saissore wrote:Kun'ii Zenya wrote:Gospadin wrote:Rarnak Ki wrote:One big problem is that these changes have the unintended consequence of nerfing multiple jumps over short ranges, say back and forth between two nearby systems. That has nothing to do with force projection and yet will still incur the same penalties as jumping all the way across the universe. Two jumps (back and forth) gives you a few hours of fatigue. How often do you plan to jump back and forth? Jump to the target system; kill target; jump out to your staging system. There you go, two jumps "back and forth". Jump in, engage your target. Wait five minutes (most of that time should be reduced while you were killing your target) Jump out with no fatigue. Problem solved.
its so simple.. why didn't i think of this!! |

Eigenvalue wrote:This change is essentially the same as the real world suddenly deciding to eliminate all transnational shipping routes and rip up all interstates and highways across every country on earth, putting a ban on air travel of any sort, and informing everyone that the goal is to create more localism.
After the global starvation and famine settled down we would find ourselves in a global dark age not seen since the fall of the western roman empire in europe.
It'll have a hugely chilling impact on industry across new eden and create massive market distortions. It'll force everyone to contract their deployments to as close to highsec as they possibly can get and put all major powers concentrated at those staging points into null sec.
It will only allow "neighbor vs neighbor" combat, so better hope your neighbor provides decent combat because moving to a new neighborhood will be practically impossible. It'll prevent escalation and make the metagame lame and uninteresting.
It'll end B-R's and related mega-events in the game that drove so much new player inflow.
All the grrrr goon and grrrr PL and grrr whatever is, I believe, driving this whole "force projection" nerf desire and makes me scratch my head and think ... didn't PL goons and other powers provide a lot of content and story in eve? What's the problem with there existing major powers and minor powers? Why must all powers be equally crappy?
Are we sure we need nuclear level changes immediately? Why aren't the changes starting small and escalating based on evaluation of the impact? Why start top end and readdress after a spring of rage?
Why are we repeating the same sort of mistakes CCP has made time and time again with its poorly thought out and poorly metriced major shakeups?
you work really far from home.. and one day.. your car.. decides.. on its own... to only go 5 roads over.. and then stops..

i hear talk about logistic supply moving getting hit.. and blue ball fleets are going to be less cool and more local defense than SOV wide defense.. and that SOV will take a huge hit and make it harder to defend whats your..
but what about the ice miners getting you that fuel.. i mean i know the stuff isnt black gold like oil is IRL. but some people make a living off of ice mining alone.. you are telling each chunk of rock.. "NO.. WE DONT LIKE SOME PARTS OF YOU ANYMORE... cuz we are fat and dont wanna move as much so you are worth less to me!"
CCP the idea is nice.. but you didnt think about the little man.. the guy who mines in angymoone or emolgranlan or any of those other high sec zones let alone the null sec...
the ganks between 0.4 and 0.5 space are going to triple i bet after this patch. even off the beaten path sites will because... well you know the story.. someones gotta move the cargo..
CCP has really attacked you lowsec/nullsec guys with changes to the industry and now this.. I WAS THERE when ccp killed CFC / NC / PL / anyone holding more than a half dozen solar systems.
brave noobs are gonna have a interesting revamp to their game looking at their CFC revamped war doc.
at least the old school water bucket lines will show the value of stuff.. bucket gets filled with water "ISK/cargo" and as people move it along from "system/person" to "system/person" the water spills a little and then by the time it gets to where it needs to go and the last person dumps the bucket on the fire.. only a few drops made it.. |

Toriessian wrote:I've posted this in other threads and people have liked the idea in other threads.
I would propose the following to keep BLOPS doable but limit mass T3 fleets from being bridged across null sec.
Keep it simple ******************************************************************************************** - Make any jump/bridge to a covert beacon not accrue fatigue outside of T3s
- T3s can still be bridged but normal fatigue applies
- A Black Ops BS CAN bridge/jump to a normal Cyno but normal fatigue rules apply
This allows Black Ops to be done without it being used for mass bridging T3 fleets any more than you could with a Titan chain. A lot of players across New Eden love the doctrine and these changes really hurt it.
0 links to other threads where your 3 or 4 followers liked the idea on the different topics making you feel big.. sooooo 0 $#!T$ given |

friend: what you playing? me: eve online.. its a space game in another galaxy friend: oh sounds fun.. can you go anywhere you want? me: yeah basically you can do basic engin travel anywhere but thats slow so you can warp drive or even stargate jump.. the bigger ships can jump drive as well. friend: jump drives sound cool.. like star wars you can jump anywhere in the galaxy? me: no.. only 5 lightyears.. basically stuck in the same star region.. and theres a cooldown on it so you cant do it much.. and the cooldown stacks so eventually you might as well go outside and play ball with your dad.
........
friend: oh.. was it always like that? me: no.. the devs was like.. we move too fast gotta slow down friend: oh.. so technology in the game went backwards? me: mmhm.. friend: sounds like the devs undid what they got paid to do before they did it.. me: yup.. friend: you still playing it? me: no.. that screen you saw me at was me un-subscribing. |
